My Opinion:

Before I share with you guys my experience, let me tell you that I've been testing this product on my own hair as well as on my sisters to completely understand the product and if it really does what it claims in the flyers???! So I've used this oil for a complete 4 weeks skipping 3-4 days and leaving it on my head over night and washing it early morning. The first thing that I noticed is that it makes my hair very soft especially on the tips of my hair where it tends to be dried up even after using a normal conditioner, this oil works as a good conditioner. The texture of the oil is thick, red in color and it smells like an Amla oil mixed with herbs and the odor doesn't bother. It also claims that it reduces hair-fall of which I'm little skeptical about as I'm still having hair fall and that's the only thing that i would suggest the company to work on with. After the first 3 weeks of use, I have also realized that my hair length increased, as my colleagues at work noticed the difference in length and texture of my hair.

Does it really work for my straightened and chemically treated hair?

Yes!! like I have mentioned earlier it does work; my hair was so dry due to Loreal Extenso treatment I did a year back. I had to use the Loreal unlimited conditioner to keep my hair silky which cost a lot for me as the product is too expensive for daily use. This hair oil miraculously helped me keeping my hair look wavy, shiny and silky.

I actually loved the difference, I'm not a big fan of oiling esp. on summers but this one I highly recommend. If your hair or scalp is dry, has dandruff, itchy and flaky, facing hair loss then you should definitely try this.

My hair now!!

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in milk VS L.A Girls PRO.primer in white

Nyx Jumbo Eye shadow Pencil in the shade,Milk is used as an eye shadow base, it instantly makes your eye shades look more intense and bright by popping up the color. It is a multi tasking product. It primes, lightens and brighten up your eyes. Goes very well with oily eye lids as the texture of the pencil is dry, it is easy to glide but difficult to blend as I have dry lids. When I put a little pressure to blend the product on the lids it eventually fades and becomes lighter on which I have to apply few more coats to achieve the required colour for a dramatic eye makeup. To work it out and get the best out of the product I've started using a coco eye primer by Toofaced first as a primer then the milk jumbo pencil on top which turned out to be the best technique. Over all, I love the performance of this product. It's handy, pigmentation is awesome, smooth and creamy consistency, packaging is simple and fresh, just a little problem with the cap, it's made of a light plastic and cracks up easily if you're not gentle with it, it does not crease on me, satisfied with the longevity, pocket friendly, can be difficult to sharpen as the size of the pencil is bigger than the standard size of jumbo sharpener. But their are sharpeners for this size too so don't worry.

It's perfect to highlight your brow bone, tear ducts and cupids bow. I see others using it to highlight their cheekbones and T-zone area. So It's really up to you, you can go crazy experimenting on this product.

Only if they could fix the cap, I would give it a BIG thumbs up. I would definitely recommend this for combination to oily eyelids. For a very dry eyelids/skin like me, you may have to work it out with a primer.

L.A. Girl HD PRO Primer Eye shadow Stick

L.A Girl Pro primer eye shadow stick in the shade, white is used as a primer and also performs  as a good base for an eye makeup look. It is very pigmented, glides easily, it blends easily with a finger, the packaging is nice, firm, black and sleek. It has good amount of product in the stick that should last for 8-9 months even if we use it on daily basis. With a little swipe of the product, it instantly highlights and brightens up the eye color. The texture of the primer is rich and creamy which is great for those who have dry eyelids. It is not recommended for oily eye lids as it may crease and smear, unless if you just use a little amount of the product and let it set at least for a minute. It's staying power is up to 7 to 8 hours.

It has three different shades white, black and nude. Each shades brightens up the eye color differently and beautifully. For the price, it is a steal because the stick provides good amount of product and performs well as a primer and a good base.

Overall, both the products are perfect on its own way. The difference is that NYX Jumbo eye pencil is more suitable for oily eye lids whereas the L.A Girl HD PRO Primer is best for dry eye lids.

This is it guys, I reviewed both products the best way I could. Hope it answered all your questions. If you have further any queries just comment down below.

ELF Matte Lip color

Product details

A lip pencil that creates exact colour application with twist up ease so you never have to sharpen but the sharpener is included an the bottom of the case just in case of you need. The pigment rich colour that glides on effortlessly and easily to provide long lasting matte colour. The enriched Vitamin of A, C and E formula that moisturises and hydrates lips for beautiful and healthy looking lips.

My Opinion:

It has a perfect clean matte packaging and very light weight. The colour and sharpener that is shown at the bottom of the packaging is the plus point, simply makes life easier on picking up the desired colour. The pigmentation are precious as you can see on the pictures given below, it has a good colour pay off in just one glide of the lip colour. The Formulation is not completely matte when applied, it shows a slight sheen on the lips but gradually turns into matte. I feel my lips dry after applying it, as I have a flaky lips I make sure to moisturise my lips well to avoid it getting all dried up. I love that it is unscented and it taste sweet which makes it different from other lippies.

It comes with 6 different shades which are mostly in neutrals and wearable at daily basis. I have three shades which are Tea Rose, Coral and Rich Red. I love all three of them. Tea Rose is my favourite amongst the three of them.

Here comes the lip swatches:

Top: Coral
Mid: Rich Red
Bottom: Tea Rose

  • Rich pigmentation
  • Affordable
  • Taste sweet
  • Unscented
  • Sleek packaging
  • Sharpener on the bottom only when required
  • Light in weight
  • can dry up the lips
  • less shades selection
Honestly, can't find any other CONS for this product. The quality and price is just a "WOW" for me! If you're interested to buy them, I would recommend "Tea Rose" if you are into neutral shades. For a Kylie Jenner lip try "Praline" you'd love it. I bought my lippies and most of the products from It's available online for Rs. 600.

Keeping up with silky, shiny hair and dry, scaly scalp is really challenging and that is what I've been facing for years. It's depressing as I have used tons of various oils and home remedies to treat my dry scalp, but nothing seemed to be helping. Sometimes when the scalp felt moisturised, hairs looked dry as dead while sometimes hair looks shiny but your scalp seems to be awfully drought, scaling with dead skins and falling as SNOWFALL dandruff which is embarrassing. Nothing seemed to work.

After of my long research on the Internet, I found peoples testimonials and their great experiences with Aloe-vera gel and how it benefited their dry scalp as well as keeping their hair smooth and silky.

Well, good news for me is that I have Aloe vera growing on my backyard, so without any second thought I started using it on my head. Honestly guys, I didn't expect too much as I've been doing this trial and error with many different home remedies on my head for quite a while now. But surprisingly I saw and felt the difference in one wash?!!! How crazy it sounds?! I literally jumped with joy on finally getting the right treatment for my head.

How to apply?

What I basically do is cut a full stem from the plant, then chop it in half. Size of half the stem is like 6 inches long and 2" wide, so it contains a good amount of gel which seems quite sufficient for my small head.

The other half, I freeze for my next use. I cut the aloe vera plant into small cute cubes as shown in the picture, don't peel of the leaf as it contains a Yellowish Gel on the sides of the leaf which is very beneficial for the scalp and we don't want to waste it even a little. Then apply on your scalp by making proper sections. Make sure not to leave any part of your head and double the amount of aloe-vera on the dry areas, it will help preventing the scaling of the dead skin that causes dandruff which ultimately leads to HAIR FALL!!

When you are done covering your entire head/scalp with aloe-vera; cover or wrap your hair with a shower cap/ plastic foil or plastic, whatever is available. Let it stay there as long as you can keep it on. Longer the duration, the better it would be. I usually keep it overnight and wash in the morning. You can do as per your convenience; there are no hard and fast rules.

Side effects??

I've been using it for a year, there's no side effect. It's 100% natural and simply the best for nourishing and conditioning your scalp and hair.

Are you a victim of hair fall and dandruff??

Well, don't waste time, Get Aloe-vera and treat it. You'll love the difference it will make.
Wash your head everyday to keep your scalp clean from any dead skin and dandruff. Use Aloe-vera once a week at least for good results. Use a mild and moisturising shampoo, I use T/Gel shampoo and T/Sal conditioner from Neutrogena.

My hair?

My hair and scalp was naturally dry. Now it's smooth, shiny and silky. But recently I faced heavy hair fall because of my post pregnancy. I'm religiously using Aloe-vera gel every other three days to regain my hair loss. Masha Allah, its as usual, working WONDERS for me!!

The Body Shop Oil- Free Balancing Foundation Review

Product Description:

Bright, long lasting and moisturizing foundation with SPF 15 gives a light to medium coverage for a perfectly even complexion. Dermatologically tested. With Community Fair Trade Marula Oil, does not contain Ethanol.

My Opinion:

In my opinion this foundation gives medium to full coverage and has a matte finish. I don't feel it's heavy on my skin, it is moisturized but not oily. It looks very natural and lasts up to 7-8 hours. It has thick and creamy formulation which can be difficult in blending if you're not familiar with different kinds of foundation. As per my experience, it can easily cover and conceal any discoloration or blemishes. This is best used with any tapered brush (I use flat kabuki brush) or with damp beauty blender.

This Foundation comes with eight different shades. It is very light in weight, comes with a pump, packaging is sleek and made of plastic. It contains 30 ml of foundation.

Personally I love this foundation for its special ingredient that is "Marula Oil", whether you have oily or dry skin, it benefits all types of skin, it moisturizes, nourishes and revitalizes your skin without leaving a greasy feel. And if you have dry skin like mine and are fond of matte foundation yet glowy?! I would highly recommend this product!

Here's a picture of me wearing this foundation. I give this product 4/5 !! Hope you enjoyed this review, feel free to ask anything in the comment box below!!

Disappointing eye-makeup brushes

The following review on this product is completely based on my own experience and opinions and that I feel have been disappointing. It didn't work the way I expected them to. I am by no means saying everyone should avoid purchasing these products, but here are my views:

Eyeshadow Eye Brush :

I didn't like this brush at all, and not worth purchasing in my opinion why?? below are the reasons:
  • hard bristles
  • very harsh and scratchy on the lids.
  • brush head easily separates from the handle.
Even if you have accidently purchased this brush and feel the same way I do, you can still use it for concealer or any liquid/cream formula. It won't hurt or damage your skin plus it's the only way you can use this product.

Smokey Eye Brush:

This should be renamed as a 'heart breaking brush' as it look so beautiful, with a perfectly cute packaging and bristles. Unfortunately it feels very harsh on the crease and is pointy. However, this one is sturdier as compared to the Eyeshadow Eye Brush as it didn't separate from it's body.

Eyeliner Brush:

As you can see in the picture above, bristles are missing; it happened after one wash and I don't exactly know if the bristles came off or the hole was too big for the bristles. Secondly, the bristles of this brush are too soft to draw a liner. I had a hard time making my eyeliner. It didn't serve its purpose for me; used it twice or thrice only.

Bourjois Kabuki Brush:

I bought it a year ago for 600+ PKR, I really love its packaging and the bulkiness of the brush but it does not have the softness of a synthetic hair, it feels so scratchy on the skin especially on the dry parts of my face, it literally hurts! I also noticed when its newly washed, it's not scratchy but after a couple of more applications it becomes extremely harsh, rough and uncomfortable.
I'm not using this brush anymore. I have just displayed it on my makeup dresser. Overall, in my opinion this brush is a nothing but a heart breaking story. 1/10

This is it guys, hope you find this post helpful and again I'm not bashing any company here. I just feel it's necessary sharing this things to all of you.

Till then see you on my next post IA.
